The Condition of the Sociology of Music in Poland. Past, Present and Perspectives

Summary/Abstract: First aim of a text is to present the state of sociology of music in Poland in the context of development of sociology in Poland. Second, is to interpret it in sociological terms and attempt to explain mentioned underdevelopment’s reasons. The text is summary of library queries, publication analysis and conducted by the author interviews with 25 researchers. There has been applied a model of idea circulation in science from Bruno Latour’s work to review and explain the situation of sociology of music in Poland.
