Intercultural Communication: Some Aspects of Communicative Behaviour

Summary/Abstract: The urgent problem of intercultural communication concerning the specific behaviour of representatives of different cultures is discussed in this article. The object of research is the Chinese linguaculture, which in spite of western influence was able to preserve its national distinctions. The choice of the research was inspired partly by the fact that the author of the article has quite strong experience of practice with Chinese students. That allowed her to assess and generalize the peculiarities of national behaviour. The linguadidactic aspect of intercultural communication is presented in this article. The peculiarities of linguacultural communucative behaviour are analysed on the basis of Russian cultural communication model. That creates certain contrastive background and using verbal and nonverbal communication it touches upon the aspects of social simbolizm. The linguadidactic importance of that problem is emphasized and some conclusions are presented.
