Summary/Abstract: Searching of employment is an important moment in life of a person; especially this one who takes the first steps on labour market. Significant importance may have for such people their professional image; which is determined − as it is known − not only by their appearance; qualifications and possible professional experience; but also manifested behaviors; presented attitudes; lifestyle; etc. The aim of this article is to identify the actions which were taken by young labor market participants (students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Zielona Gora) and were related to forming a positive professional image. To achieve this aim; a survey was conducted in 2015. The attention was focused primarily on the respondents’ skills of presenting themselves to the potential employers in the application documents and during interviews. It was found that a lot of students possessed insufficient knowledge on the creation of their own professional image.
