Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on some fashion trends and their relation to the modernistic self-reflection of the person from the interwar period. The research is based on publications from important Bulgarian fashion and cultural periodicals. A few main trends are outlined: the slender figure, the clothes “á la garçonne”, the shorter skirts and lower necks, the so called “edyptomania” or “tutmania”, etc. Fashion is seen as a manifestаtion of the chance of humans to try different modes of living, as well as the possibility to have plural existence.
