Summary/Abstract: Poland’s integration with the European Union contributed significantly to the development of the domestic agri-food sector, including its foreign trade. This is indicated by the progressive concentration of commercial cooperation within the Community. The size and production profile of the sector are determined, in particular, by the regulations of the Common Agricultural Policy. One can also point to trends and phenomena of global range, which also affect the production of food and its foreign sales. These include among others positive growth in world population, changing consumer preferences or improvement of living standards in many countries. The aim of the publication is to illustrate foreign trade of Polish agri-food products by showing directions of commodity flows, product structure and the most important trading partners. Leading determinants of changes taking place in the trade are also indicated. The study uses a descriptive method, an analysis of the literature and statistical inference.
