Summary/Abstract: Economic processes that have undergone in the last decade are an exceptional opportunity for an analysis of problems with the management of the European enterprise. An extremely important is also the context of conditions and characteristics attendant on the processes of European integration. In her discussion on the management of the European enterprise the author wanted to refer to the ongoing evolution of the model of European management. She had in mind the mutability and complexity of the enterprises’ surrounding, including European enterprises. An attempt has been made to find some characteristics of European management, and challenges that this management will have to face in the future. The paper focuses on such characteristics of European management that emphasise its relations with culture. The function of the paradigm of European management has been highlighted, and the particular influence of the enterprise’s surrounding on the formulation of this kind of model of entrepreneurial management. According to the author, European management may become an area of quests for a clear antidote to the mutable conditions of the milieu in which an enterprise is working.
