Summary/Abstract: The present paper synthesizes the different documents that a teacher uses during the french classes as a foreign language. By analysing the most important didactical methods, we concluded that the history of didactical methodologies evolved and developed at the same time with the didactical materials and documents used in the french class. The communicative approach brings the most substantial change in the didactics field of foreign languages by introducing the authentic documents. These are considered the most important innovations of this approach and their aim is to connect the student with the reel world by conceiving and using authentic dialogues.
