Psychological and social conditions of the dangers in the workplace in the aspect of shaping human capital in the healthcare entities

Summary/Abstract: Dynamic changes which have been occurring for the last few decades bring new challenges for the management of the human capital in a form of numerous psychological and social dangers. Except for the physical, chemical and biological dangers, shaping the healthy work environment has to cope with the issues of work process overload, no balance in the line work – life and in the consequence with the stress connected with the performed work. In this context the problems of the psychological and social dangers existing in the work process both in respect to their potential reasons as well as the proper prevention strategy become a current research issue. The purpose of this article is to present the considerations referring to the characteristics of the psychological and social sources of dangers in a current work environment of the nursing staff and the occupational risk generated by these factors presented in the light of the secondary empirical research. In this article, particular attention was paid to the complex relationship between the work environment and emerging threats to health in the work of nurses leading to overload and fatigue.
