Summary/Abstract: Thirteenth International Human Resource Management Conference “Uncertainty in a Flattening World: Challenges For IHRM”, 24–27 June 2014, Cracow, Poland The 13th International Human Resources Management Conference “Uncertainty in a Flattening World: Challenges for IHRM” took place on 24–27 June 2014 at the Cracow University of Economics. The conference was organised by the Department of Human Capital Management at the CUE, chaired by Professor Aleksy Pocztowski. The major lectures were given by the keynote speakers of prominent scholars in the field of IHRM, such as Prof. Helen De Cieri, Prof. Michael J. Morley, Prof. Paul Davidson, Prof. Peter J. Dowling, Prof. Agata Stachowicz-Stanusch and Prof. Paul R. Sparrow. The main topic of the conference was the challenges of IHRM. 160 participants from 33 different countries asked questions about actual trends in IHRM, presented research findings on the subject of the growing complexity and mutability of the operating environment of enterprises on international markets as well as its influence on the function of personnel in modern international enterprises.
