The development strategies of communes, which are areas of special natural values with regard to the sustainable development model

Summary/Abstract: Landscape parks are areas of outstanding, unique natural, landscape and culture values. These areas are subject to special conservation established by law. The management of them is limited to actions to ensure no deterioration of the environment. However, municipalities, which are territorial entities of the lowest administrative level, have a number of competencies in the management of socio-economic development and spatial development. An analysis of the findings of the development strategy of selected communes shows that sustainable development is not always a chosen direction of development. Insufficient importance is attached to shaping the environmental and planning order, the conservation of environment and its resources.
