Summary/Abstract: The data collected on the basis of reports on innovation of industrial enterprises (PNT-02) and service providers (PNT-02u) indicate that economic factors (cost factors) form a significant barrier to the implementation of new or significantly improved solutions for many companies, regardless of their business premises (a region of Poland). The existing financial gap should be filled by, among others, the National Capital Fund (KFK in Polish) and its partners (equity funds, FK in Polish). However, these entities marginally participate in the financing of innovative businesses processes, because the KFK does not attract enough support schemes (non-repayable funds from the state budget, the EU and other foreign sources) and is certainly far from their appropriate management (the scale of its direct and indirect investments with the participation of the FK).
