Summary/Abstract: In this article are presented and discussed the opinions of the Brithish political scientist John Laughland. He is questioning the thesis of globalization’s historical necessity, and states that this is nothing else than a reminiscence and reanimation of the doctrines and desiderates influenced by communism. The conclusion is that the debate over globalization reiterates and old dispute between two types of political and social strategies: the political rationalism, with its revolutionary orientation, and the political conservatism, supporting the slow reforms.
