Summary/Abstract: A theoretical analysis of the two principal models for studying a social system: the economical one and the sociological one. Each of those models has its own flaws, one for considering the individual strictly rational, acting just to attain his ends, the other for considering the society the sum of individuals from a social body, each one of them acting within a confined set of possibilities. Maybe the best way to approach the social problems is that of a combined model, in which we diminish the extreme rationality of individual claimed by the economical model and combine the individual interests with the environmental influences. In this way we can balance the economical and the sociological approaches, obtaining an accurate instrument for addressing the social problems.
