Reasons for using logistic support of medical services in Polish hospitals

Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to show reasons for using logistic support of medical services provided by hospitals. The authors have presented typical, selected medical procedures and have identified the elements of logistic support in their realization. The paper discusses directions for the implementation of logistic solutions in Polish hospitals against the background of experience of hospitals in Western Europe and the United States.
