Summary/Abstract: Given the historical and geopolitical aspect, Cieszyn Silesia, also known as the Cieszyn Land, co-creates the „core of Silesia”. This term shall be determined in „the land that has always belonged to Silesia, which was never cut with any borders”. This does not change the fact that due to the complicated history of this area (among others relatively frequent changes of national status), reflected in the ethnic, social and political dimension, the analyzed area and the people inhabiting it are characterized by a specificity, indicating that Silesia is made up of many parts, and a fact that there is no administrative-territorial concept of Silesia as a whole is not accidental.
