Summary/Abstract: The article deals with an amulet-stamp in the shape or Fatima’s hand on a fragment from an Arabic manuscript. The fragment is identified as a copy from the end of the 16th century. A description of the stamp is presented in the first part and a comparison with pence is drawn. The author suggests that the fingers of Fatima’s hand depict three times the famous double-edged sword of Ali. The text of the amulet is translated from Arabic into Bulgarian in the second part of the article. Its relations with the Quranic verses and context are analyzed. The author shows that the amulet-stamp in MS. OR 3759 has specific characteristics which can be traced back to ancient Mesopotamian beliefs and are connected with the 20th century shi’a magical practice. In the final part the text of the fragment is summarized and its main parts are translated into Bulgarian.
