Language and culture sources of anthroponymic homonymy

Summary/Abstract: Discussing the phenomenon of anthroponymic homonymy, it used to be related to appelative homonymy. Name homonyms were analyzed on the onymic-onymic, onymic-appelative, diachronic and synchronic ground. The analysis of onomastic homonyms was made with reference to the types of identifying units, the types of formal identifications and the origin of identifications. Sematic and etymological-motivating criteria were accepted.
