Summary/Abstract: The article examines the meanings of some phraseological word combinations in Bulgarian and English, which contain ethnonyms – words, which denote belonging to a certain ethnic group or nationality. The main goal is to identify the values, contained in those words from the perspective of the language in which they are expressed.
