Conception of post-reform technology education in the education programs

Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on the analysis of the reformed technology education conception in the updated education programs. The article establishes fact, that technology education is multidimensional subject and demonstrates belongings among the components of technology education. Summing-up the ideas of several authors, the following conclusions can be formulated: • Operating (technical work) education shifted to technological education influenced by education policy changes in Lithuania. Now it is possible to reveal and develop the multidimensionality of technologies as teaching subject. • The most important components of technological education are: technological alternation, consumer education, quality of life, computer literacy, design, and vocational guidance. The technological education has closely intertwined miscellaneous components, which demonstrates that technological education is multidiscipline. • Technology education is an integral subject open to collaboration, for individualization and differentiation of education content, using project based teaching method.
