Summary/Abstract: Basing on unexploited English archival sources on Albania the article undertakes to deal with the role of the English diplomacy in achieving the final decision of 9 November 1921 on Albania in the Conference of Ambassadors in Paris. The Conference of Ambassadors in Paris, January-December 1921, was considered as a continuation of the Peace Conference of Paris 1919-1920 for the problems coming out from the application of the peace treaties and the solution of the problems remained unresolved as was the question of Albania. The importance of the decision of November 1921 resides in the fact of recognition of the Albanian government as organ of an independent state. At the same time the decisions of the Conference of Ambassadors in their complexity made the closing of the long and complicated discussions for the recognition of the Albanian independence after the First World War.
