Summary/Abstract: This research paper explores the less-examined dimensions of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), specifically focusing on male victims of female-perpetrated abuse and the phenomenon of false allegations within legal and domestic contexts. While gender-based violence traditionally emphasizes male-to-female aggression, empirical data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and various European legal bodies indicate that IPV is a multifaceted issue affecting all genders. This study analyzes the psychological profiles of female perpetrators and examines the tactical use of the legal system as a tool for abuse. Furthermore, it addresses the dual nature of false allegations: those used by women against men to gain advantages in custody disputes, and counter-allegations used by male perpetrators (DARVO) to discredit legitimate female victims. By synthesizing statistical data and psychological frameworks, the paper argues for a gender-neutral, evidence-based approach to domestic violence policy to protect all victims and maintain the integrity of the judicial system.
