Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the issue of psychedelic substances in the context of the current security environment, with an emphasis on the global trend of integrating drugs with psychedelic effects into medical practice. This trend is evident in countries such as Switzerland, Australia, and Canada, and has recently begun to affect the Czech Republic as well. The article further highlights the inability of current legislation to keep pace with the illegal synthesis of new psychoactive substances. The core of the article is a comparative analysis of selected substances in terms of their potential for misuse in chemical attacks, based on selected criteria—physicochemical and toxicological properties. Through this analysis, the most high-risk of selected substances were identified. The article concludes by formulating specific proposals for measures.
