Summary/Abstract: In our article we set out to specify some chronological milestones in the history of the town of Ţeghea, which now belongs to Satu Mare county, but for a long time it was part of Solnocu de Mijloc county and, after that, Sălaj. Documentarily attested from the year 1279, of course it is older. We especially used documentary sources, Greek-Catholic schematics, to describe the activity of the two fundamental institutions of Romanian localities, the church and the school. We also capitalized on the information from Petri Mor’s well-known work in several volumes, also focusing on the history of the reformed church in the village of Ţeghea. In the end, we dedicated a few paragraphs to the Orthodox monastery dedicated to the „Nativity of the Mother of God”, established after 1990, which animated the life of the town of Ţeghea to a good extent.
