Summary/Abstract: This paper is dedicated to the life and work of Safet Krupić, one of the most prominent yet today nearly forgotten Bosniak intellectuals of the 20th century. As a progressive figure with a complex identity, Krupić left a profound mark on the intellectual and political life of his time. His contributions to culture, society, and critical thought are now relegated to the margins of both collective and institutional memory in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of this paper is to highlight the contemporary relevance of remembering his life and work and to open space for the reaffirmation of this important and unjustly neglected figure. The first part of the paper presents the main biographical information based on available sources, while the second part analyzes his preserved writings on philosophy, art, and society, their existing interpretations, as well as Krupić’s critical engagement. Special attention is given to his death in the Jasenovac concentration camp, where he was tragically killed as an ideological opponent of the Ustaša regime and as communist. The final section of the paper explores the relevance of his ideas today and the importance of remembering his contributions within the contemporary socio-political context of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
