Summary/Abstract: The 2024 Christmas Pastoral Letter issued by Bishop Lucian of Caransebeș focuses on the profound theological concept of Jesus Christ as the "Bread of Life". The message explicitly links the Nativity to the Holy Eucharist, comparing the manger in Bethlehem to the Holy Altar. The bishop strongly urges the faithful to actively participate in the Divine Liturgy and receive communion, cautioning against reducing the sacred holiday to a mere vacation. Furthermore, the letter serves as a pastoral call for spiritual responsibility, deep familial communion, and steadfast faith amidst contemporary challenges, concluding with fervent prayers for peace and blessings in 2025.
