Summary/Abstract: Authored by Bishop Lucian of Caransebeș, the 2024 Easter Pastoral Letter focuses on the spiritual and physical healing brought by Jesus Christ's Resurrection. Aligning with the Homage Year of the pastoral care of the sick, the text reflects on the prophetic words of Isaiah and the Gospel of Matthew, emphasizing that Christ assumed human infirmities to cure our suffering. The bishop highlights the profound theological connection between sin and illness, quoting Saint John Chrysostom. Ultimately, the letter urges the faithful to renew their baptismal vows, seek divine healing, and abandon sin to attain eternal salvation.
