Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the interest in Bulgarian studies of representatives of the Odesa Scientific School, familiarization with their works which highlight important issues of the functioning of the Bulgarian language in the south of Ukraine in descriptive, linguo-geographical, collateral, genetic, ethnolinguistic and sociolinguistic aspects. At the present stage, it has been proved that a detailed and objective description of the language dynamics is mostly realized on the basis of studies of dialects.
