Summary/Abstract: The interpretation and application of Articles 1,082 and 1,088 of the 1864 Civil Code, and respectively Articles 1,531 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) first sentence, and Article 1,535 paragraph (1) of Law no. 287/2009 on the Civil Code, republished, as subsequently amended (the 2009 Civil Code), with reference to the awarding of moratory damages in the form of legal interest for the staggered payment of amounts established in enforceable titles granting salary rights to personnel in the public sector, under Articles 1 and 2 of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 71/2009 on the payment of amounts established in enforceable titles concerning salary rights of public‑sector personnel, approved with amendments by Law no. 230/2011 (GEO no. 71/2009).
