Some aspects of the Christological-moral problematic in the work of Prof. Gancho Pashev and Prof. Ivan Panchovski

Summary/Abstract: The theme of “Christological and moral issues in the work of prof. Gancho Pashev and prof. Ivan Panchovski” touches on the central and extensive topic of knowledge and experience in Christian ethics, in the area of which both theologians work – the question of man’s purpose and deification. The text examines some aspects of the topic of deification and (or) the moral ideal in the theological systems of the two scholars and their interpretation. For prof. Pashev, this topic raises questions about his dispute with prof. Dimitar Mihalchev, and for prof. Panchovski – through the relationship between religion and morality in two of his books on the Person of Jesus Christ and in „Introduction to Moral Theology”.
