Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the socio-ethical dimensions in the theological works of Bulgarian scholars Prof. Gancho Pashev and Prof. Ivan Panchovski, focusing in particular on their perspectives regarding the social mission of the Church. Prof. Pashev articulates a vision of a morally grounded society founded on religious principles, situated within an ethical state understood as a religious value in itself. Within this framework, the moral ideal of human perfection is elevated to the level of a societal goal. Prof. Panchovski expands the discourse toward a deeper reflection on sociality and community in the theanthropic organism of the Church. In his view, the pursuit of social justice is inseparable from the human aspiration for moral perfection. The communal understanding of the Church, for him, reflects a vision of Christianity as a „deeply social“ reality—one that embodies fraternal unity among all people.
