Summary/Abstract: Turkish is a productive language in terms of word and term formation, and these processes are also observed in the military lexical and terminological apparatus. With the appearance of Turkic on the historical scene, the first military lexemes and terms appeared, and the formation of this apparatus was the result of the consolidation of various factors. This paper examines affixation and composition as two highly productive models of lexical and morphological word formation in Turkish. The examples given in the paper to illustrate these two word formation patterns are taken from Turkish military websites, dictionaries, journals, etc.
