Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the economy and transportation in Poland and around the world. Introduced restrictions and company closures have disrupted supply chains. Poland’s GDP, despite an initial decline, proved relatively immune to the effects of the pandemic. E-commerce has gained ground, and the mobility of the population has declined – especially in the use of public transportation. However, studies suggest that public transportation was relatively safe when precautions were taken. In road transportation, fluctuations were observed in the efficiency indicators of transportation processes, depending on the type of cargo being transported. Transportation costs increased significantly in 2022 compared to previous years. Despite the challenges, the analyzed company maintained a high delivery reliability of more than 90%. The pandemic has accelerated changes in consumer behavior and forced adjustments to the business models of transportation companies.
