Music as a means of the emotional development of children with special educational needs

Summary/Abstract: With this text I would like to share my experience as a music educator and music therapist, working with children with special educational needs, in the therapeutic center ANEMI located in the city of Serres in Greece. It analyzes the capability of music to stimulate their physical development. The main activity of the ANEMI club in the city of Serres is the provision of treatment mainly to children with special needs. The main objective is to integrate them into society,to exploit the potential of specific programs of socialization and creative occupation. The context of therapeutic intervention includes music education and music therapy.
