Summary/Abstract: The field of operational investigation has historically been an area of police activity typical of the criminal police, now known as the Criminal Police and Investigation Service of the Czech Police. Specific procedures carried out primarily in a covert manner have their own specific characteristics, which the author of the article states by presenting professional criminal investigation practice with a summary of information demonstrating the applicability of these procedures even during so-called inspection activities, primarily from the perspective of the specific security corps of the General Inspection of Security Corps. At the same time, the author supplements his efforts to have this special police activity recognized as a permanent criminal investigation and tactical method, expanding the range of special methods of evidence gathering.
