Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the work and legacy of Antonín Hartl (1885–1944) for Carpatorutenistics. He came from western Bohemia and devoted himself systematically to Ruthenian literature and culture in the interwar period. His contacts with Vladislav Vančura, among others, were significant for this reason.
