Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, law enforcement authorities are encountering an increase in the distribution of narcotic and psychotropic substances through postal services. The objective of this article is to analyse selected issues of the initial procedure of law enforcement authorities in a situation where criminal activity consisting in the distribution of narcotic and psychotropic substances through postal services is investigated.
