Summary/Abstract: This article investigates the Orthodox Moldavianism Syndrome, an ideology with historical roots in the area between the Prut and the Dniester. The study analyzes how this ideology has influenced the national identity of Moldovans and shaped the relations between the Church, the State and external geopolitical factors. Through interviews with Bishops Atanasie Rusnac and Ambrozie Munteanu, the research offers a unique perspective on how this syndrome manifests itself in the Moldovan diaspora, affecting the spiritual and identity life of orthodox communities.
