Summary/Abstract: The study aims to define the concept of russkii mir and to study the way in which it influences the missionary activity of the Orthodox Christian Church in the Republic of Moldova. The missionary aspects of the Orthodox Church in the Republic of Moldova were influenced and shaped by the European geopolitical context, on one hand, and by the new Russian ideology, entitled Russkii Mir, on the other hand. The Republic of Moldova is in the area of Russian and Romanian cultural and religious influences. In this sense, there is a struggle between different political and cultural orientations, with direct implications for the Orthodox Church in the Republic of Moldova.
