NEW LEGISLATIVE APPROACHES REGARDING BILL OF EXCHANGE FORMALISM

Summary/Abstract: Apparently, the bill of exchange is a payment instrument that is used only in domestic affairs, a fact for which there would be little interest in its analysis, but the practical utility and the complexity of the legal creation of the bill of exchange justify the widespread use of this instrument of exchange in the international market. It is no coincidence that the Romanian legislator is also concerned with the adaptation of specific legislation to the evolution of trade and international legislation. In the present study, we will analyze the new elements brought by the recent amendments to the law no. 58/1934, viewed in comparison with existing regulations at the international level, emphasizing the differences outlined between the main legal systems.
