Summary/Abstract: This paper is a synthetic introduction of the social dimension of the online educational phenomenon, especially developed during the pandemic period. The required research on a sample of 105 students from Romanian upper secondary education consisted of online application of a established tool for investigating the socio-human dimension, namely the questionnaire. The results of the micro-research have emphasized the presence of some positive and, at the same time, negative values of carrying out the instructional-educational process in the online environment, which can attract the attention of specialists in the fields of Educational Sciences, Sociology, Communication Sciences, Psychology, Ethics and Professional Deontology. Therefore, the modern digital technologies which find their exponential utility in the social life of each of us, require their presence and necessity in the most constructive manner in the field of education, but without avoiding the traditional didactic strategies adapted to the particularities of each educational system.
