Summary/Abstract: In 2004, Lithuania joined the European Union, which significantly influenced thecountry's economy and the development of its regions. The article, using a syntheticlabor market indicator, determines and compares the differences in the level of labormarket development in the years 2004-2023. The main factors determining the di-versification of the development of districts in Lithuania were identified. Thishelped assess how EU membership influenced development differences and whatchallenges and opportunities it brought for individual regions. Data comes from theDepartment of Statistics of Lithuania.
