Summary/Abstract: The article emphasizes the importance of preventive activity in combating road traffic injuries, as well as the main role of the Traffic Police in its implementation. Preventive activity is fundamental, the role of which is to motivate road traffic participants to comply with the rules and requirements of the Road Traffic Act. Preventive activity usually precedes the commission of violations by road traffic participants. Therefore, its implementation aims to prevent and deter citizens from violating the rules. The activity also aims to familiarize and educate users of the transport service with some innovations and changes in the regulatory framework regulating public relations. The article draws attention to the need for preliminary and prospective planning of the activity, which is consistent with the state and dynamics of the road transport system: Man, car, road, environment. The development also presents the various forms and methods for implementing preventive activity, which are of key importance for the effectiveness of their implementation. Proper management of these processes, as well as investment in preventive activities, will contribute to increasing road safety.
