RELEVANCE OF HISTORY OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - The two-volume book CREATION OF YUGOSLAVIA

Summary/Abstract: The book “Creation of Yugoslavia 1-2“ by academician Milorad Ekmeĉić, was written in time hovering by dark clouds over that country, as just before a great disaster. Today, as Yugoslavia doesn't exist, as a result of social and political storms, it looks as if the professor Ekmeĉić, as a convinced Yugoslav, wanted to protect it by his strongest arms, the truth and the story, and the words which have been left to us by all its fighters and makers,politicians and soldiers, as heritage collected through bouth Yugoslavias. Actuality of the book and Yugoslavia which it stands, is equal to its creating, which was preceded by a lot of wandering and deviation from the straight road, followed by not only the smartest but godharted people from farmers to volunteers and experienced diplomates. During period of a century, comprehensively described by academician Ekmeĉić, however, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as today, we were harnessed into the current struggle for freedom, for the country, for the unity; all under foreign boot sprouted as a wasteland - Serbia and Montenegro, and Yugoslavs under the Habsburg and Ottoman rulers, with rebellions and uprisings, ra-fattened, revolutions, and assassinations, as well. The work of all of them, especially the "Young Bosnia" is eternally topical, as eternal is academician Milorad Ekmeĉić with the book Creation of Yugoslava, and other books and studies, as well as his words. I take him particularly valuable when the focus are events in and around Bosnia and Herzegovina, yesterday and today.
