Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the fourteenth century, historical records were written in verse, so it can be assumed that this style of writing Dalimil’s chronicle was intended to make the text written in this way better remembered. Capital work Dalimil’s Chronicle is the oldest Czech written chronicle (XIV century) that talks about the origin of the Slavs, explicitly mentioning the Serbs as the natives and the people from whom they originated from the time of the construction of the Tower of Babel, and it, with its existence, unequivocally influences the change in knowledge about the historical data now available.
