Summary/Abstract: The literary critic of Young Bosnia, as an integral part and a very significant part of the entire Serbian literary critic, has not been examined enough and its representatives have been left in the shade of bigger authorities. Our goal in this paper is to discuss the theoretical basis of critical thinking of Borivoje Jeftic, one of the more important critics of Young Bosnia. We will also try to perceive the motives and assumptions that directed this critic towards the analysis and evaluation of the literary and cultural phenomenon. Our goal is, based on our possibilities, to formulate those assumptions by basing our investigation on critical overview of the results of the literary critic of this Young Bosnian. We shall overview his role, importance, the ideas and philosophical thinking relying on his opus and his literary – critical personality.
