Summary/Abstract: The aim of our research is to adapt the Norwegian Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale (NTSES) to the Hungarian educational environment in Slovakia, ensuring that it functions reliably and validly when measuring Hungarian teacher training students in Slovakia. The reliability indicators of the adapted questionnaire range between 0.823 and 0.870. During factor analysis, we did not obtain the factor structure shown in the original model. Through statistical analysis, we developed a new model with 3 subscales and also presented a model covering 6 subscales, which demonstrated an acceptable fit index. The students we examined are most confident in their ability to address challenges related to collaborating with parents and colleagues, organising education, and adapting teaching to individual needs—these are the areas in which they have the strongest belief in their own abilities. The greatest challenge for them is maintaining discipline; however, they also find motivating students and coping with changes in educational circumstances to be significant challenges.
