CERCETĂRI ARHEOLOGICE DE SUPRAFAȚĂ ÎN COMUNA VIZANTEA - LIVEZI
SURFACE ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN THE VIZANTEA - LIVEZI COMMUNE

Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of Octomber 2022, the specialists of the Vrancei Museum were asked by the Municipality of Vizantea Livezi to carry out surface research for the identification and mapping of archaeological sites and historical monuments on the administrative territory of the commune, in the framework of the project "Updating of the General Urbanistic Plan of the commune of Vizantea Livezi". As a result of this field research, four new archaeological sites have been identified on the territory of the commune: 1. „Căbeni” (a settlement with one habitation levels: Bronze ages – Monteoru. 2. „La Mănăstire” (a settlement with one habitation levels: Bronze ages – Monteoru). 3. „Islaz Ghiorica” (a settlement with one habitation levels: LaTène and Point „Mănăstirea Vizantea” (a settlement with one habitation levels: Mediaval Monastery – XVII century).
