Summary/Abstract: The study presents a group of fourteen flint blades and tools originating from the former school collection in Aldeni (Buzău County), most likely attributed to the Eneolithic settlement on Gurguiul Balaurului. Based on typological and technological analysis, some of the pieces fall into the category of long blades, specific to a specialized production made from Ludogorie flint (Balkan platform). At least some of these objects appear to have been part of a collective find (deposit). The dimensions and formal characteristics of the pieces correspond to the high level of technological expertise repeatedly attested for the Kodjadermen–Gumelnița–Karanovo VI lithic industry. Although well known in settlements and necropolises from northern Bulgaria and southern Romania, long blades (super blades) are not as frequent in the Stoicani–Aldeni cultural area. Their presence in a settlement from the Buzău Subcarpathians reflects the integration of this region into a long-distance exchange network and documents a set of objects with both functional and symbolic value. At the same time, the presumed discovery context suggests that, along with these objects, cultural gestures with intercommunity significance also circulated.
