Summary/Abstract: This article examines the formal characteristics of syntactic groups consisting of a verb and a dependent adjective, focusing on morphological accommodation and connotation as the two primary mechanisms for constructing grammatically correct expressions. The study outlines the structural features that give rise to normative issues in standard language use. Furthermore, it analyses several normative problems related to the realisation of verb + adjective groups in sentence structure, with particular attention to accommodation in the grammatical categories of number, gender and polarity. The causes of fluctuations are explored, and normative recommendations are provided.
