Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the main contributions to Bulgarian linguistics made by Prof. Lyubomir Andreychin. The authors highlight his innovative methods of research in Mo¬dern Standard Bulgarian and his understanding of the grammatical categories of the Bul¬garian verb system, in particular. They go on to outline his theoretical views on or¬tho¬graphy and the normativisation of Bulgarian spelling, emphasising his exceptional contribution to this area. Finally, the authors discuss Prof. Andreychin’s contributions to the study of the history of Modern Standard Bulgarian.
